Charter Restoration is an IICRC full-service loss management company providing comprehensive restoration services to residential, commercial, industrial and institutional properties. We provide professional deep cleaning, emergency services, mold remediation, water damage and comprehensive restoration services.

Our administrative offices, located in Johns Creek, GA, provide us a comfortable atmosphere to conduct Charter Restoration business and meet with our clients and vendors. Our agreements with climate controlled secure storage facilities in cities across the country enable us to service and store client properties at a location nearest the site of the loss.

Our Executive Team
Walter F. “Bart” Barton
Bart Barton has spent nearly 35 years working in the Insurance Restoration arena. His background in Marketing and Sales brings a unique perspective to this industry. Customer relationships are Bart’s specialty and those who work with him know they have an advocate. Bart’s first hand knowledge of each and every project ensures excellence from start to finish.
Those who know Bart appreciate his honesty, integrity, and transparency in his business partnerships. With Bart Barton at the helm of Charter Restoration, customers know they are getting a trusted professional who puts their needs first.
Michael C. Taylor
Mike Taylor serves as Chief Operating Officer of Charter Restoration Florida. Mike brings over 30 years of construction and management experience to Charter Restoration. During his career, he has contributed to the construction and development of over 5.2M square feet of single family, multifamily, and commercial property, valued in excess of $750 million, in partnership with local, regional and international firms.
Mike’s project development and management expertise includes working extensively with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors and third party consultants. His focus is overseeing the day-to-day operations for the Florida office and developing partnerships with property owners, management companies and asset managers with an interest in apartments, condominiums, hotels, and senior living communities.
Prior to joining Charter Restoration, Mike was in management with LandSouth Construction, McCar Homes, Hines and John Wieland Homes. His ability to manage people and complex projects, combined with his expertise in business development, sales management, corporate marketing and communications, public relations and human resources, make him an effective market leader.
Mike is a longtime resident of Ponte Vedra Beach and, as such, serves as a member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association board, Urban Land Institute, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation committee, as well as a past Chair of the Sales & Marketing Council.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1985. He is a State Certified General Contractor in Florida and holds a Residential Light Commercial license in Georgia.
Meg Barton
Meg Barton serves as Chief Executive Officer of Charter Restoration. She brings over 30 years of marketing and management experience to the organization. Her passion for marketing and design came out of a career in Trade Show Exhibit Marketing, having been involved in the founding of Access TCA, Inc., one of the industry’s largest firms and Marketing by Design, an Atlanta design firm.
Meg has made a second career in the non-profit arena. Since 2003, she has dedicated time to helping families and children in need having served on the board of Habitat for Humanity and Assistance League.
Meg is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford Ohio.
Jaysen Witherspoon
Jaysen Witherspoon serves as Chief of Operations for Charter Restoration. He brings unique personal skills combined with an in-depth understanding of the construction and reconstruction processes. Jaysen is on site from start to finish. From the time the loss occurs until its completion, Jaysen is hands on. His unique brand of customer service makes every customer feel like they are first and foremost.
Jaysen oversees marketing efforts and is responsible for increasing Charter Restoration’s influence in the marketplace. His educational background is in IT and technology and that expertise enables Charter Restoration to stay on the cutting edge of processes to better our service to our clients and their needs.
